Rally Dakar 2013 Pictures

The 2013 Dakar Rally off road race started in Lima, Peru on January 5th. More than four hundred racers in four classes of vehicles will race 5200 miles to Santiago, Chile. This is fifth year that the event has been run in South America after security threats forced the cancellation of the original race that had been run from Paris, France, to Dakar, Senegal since 1978.
